This week I've been lightening things up around here and adding simple touches of spring into my decor. I found a new shade of aqua blue that is my current obsession. Unfortunately it is in a tiny bottle of acrylic craft paint....Ceramcoat sea foam. It is the softest most beautiful shade of blue and I want to paint everything with it, but I'm trying to make that tiny little bottle stretch. I used it on my family monogram frame and distressed it to let the heirloom white show through. LOVE IT!
Have I mentioned how much I adore this burlap scrapbook paper? It looks so real.
This is how my frame started out a month or so ago. I loved the colorful pattern on this paper, but it quickly became too busy for me and I had to change it. Plus, you couldn't really see the monogram, which is my favorite part of this frame. So I changed it.
This time I went with something more simple, but still with a bit of color. I loved it for a few weeks, but of course got tired of it and wanted a change. Again with the D.A.D.D. (decorating attention deficit disorder).
I probably would have left it like it was, if it weren't for that darn craft paint I fell in love with. So I peeled off the vinyl lettering and started over. This is by far the simplest look, but I love it. The colors are just perfect for spring. And I found some gorgeous scrapbook paper that is almost identical to my new favorite paint color to wrap my candles in.

Love the frame! I've been looking for something like that . but a little larger to do a pinboard for my new kitchen.
Like how yours keeps evolving too! What's next?
Since you have d.a.d.d. too... do you have receive comments from irl people about how you change up your house too much? I had some the other day and now i'm all self conscious thinking maybe I do do too much to the house or something.
Nice spring display. If you haven't, you should link it up w/ Tabletop Tuesday. Love the tray too.
I am totally smitten with this color. I must now go get some for myself!
I loved looking at each one! The color of the frame at the end is AMAZING! WHAT is IT?!
Gorgous!!! Love it!! I have a frame I'm wanting to do something similar to put outside (when I find the pieces to put outside).
I love that color too. I found a new similar color yesterday that I want to paint a bathroom!!

I love the paint color too.

I love how this all works and moves along the display together with your blue frame, the eggs under the cloche and your wrapped candles. Then you have your faux burlap in the frame, your mirror and the grapevine ball with the natural textural element. Love it!
I love that color too! The frame looks great and I love the little eggs and nest.

Great color and the distressing turned out great! Love it!
Wow paper! Looks great. Dumb question here: does it feel textural? (is that a word?) Because it really looks like it would have texture to it.

Yes! The last one is my fave!!! You are ready for Spring, oh yes you are. :) I knew I was ready for Spring yesterday when I busted out my pink Converse knock-offs. I felt so cheerful all day. ;)
Wow, it looks great and I love your spring decor!
It looks so fresh and bright - love it!!
OH MY GOODNESS! I just found your blog and I am so glad I did, it is just darling! I love all of your creations and can't wait to see more!
Ohhh might be on my way to the craft store for some burlap paper!! Love that! Bring Spring On!!!
very pretty! I can't believe that's paper and not the real thing!
Why not take that paint to a paint store and have it matched?
Love the monograms!
The burlap paper is great....
Love it! Looks great in that pretty vignette on your table too!
I think this is my favorite vingette of yours yet! So soft and so pretty. I love that blue color! I want to go get some now. Here's a thought. I know that Walmart (and many other paint departments) can match colors of anything - even things like fabric. You could always just paint a piece of paper and take it in to your favorite paint place and get yourself a gallon - or five. Because that color is so pretty I'd want to swathe my whole home in it! Thanks for always sharing such inspirational ideas.
ok-so now I have to go back to the stupid big wal store? Transformation. Much cleaner and very springy!
I must get me some of that burlap paper stuff!
Hey-come over and look at the carrots that I made! Who knew root vegetables could be so cute?
Ok that's beautiful! I would love to have a space look like that :) The frame is gorgeous!
It is just beautiful.
Great look! I really like this!
Loooooooooove that color!!! I must have it!
Beautiful arrangement and love the frame -- simple, yet elegant!
I love how you cope with DADD, keep the good advice coming.
I have watched the evolution of this frame and this is my favorite so far! If I remember correctly you placed the vinyl right on the glass?
That scrapbook paper looks incredibly like real burlap! Love it! Just wish I could find it!
Great look! I really like this!
