Spring Signs

Well, I've been at it again with my cricut and the Sure Cuts A Lot software. I found the absolute cutest fonts last week and had fun playing around with different ways to use them. I made some new signs for my shop and a couple custom orders. This first picture shows the darling font I am absolutely in love with right now. It is called "In Good Company" and you can find it at Scrapnfonts{dot}com. It features a variety of chairs, couches, settees, lamps, telephones, and frames in silhouettte....it is so.stinkin.cute. I added the welcome on top of the settee for a little flair. Wouldn't that be cute hanging near the front or back door, or in a guest bedroom?

What could be cuter than a monogrammed birdcage? Love, love, love this!

Or an adorable monogrammed sign for your porch?

I have to apologize for being so absent the last week. Sometimes life just gets the better of you and you have to know when to step back. My sweet husband got home Thursday evening for a two week leave, my dad had 4 stints put in his heart the next day, and on Saturday we attended a funeral for a sweet friend at church who lost her husband in Iraq. They are expecting their first baby next month and he was supposed to be coming home in time for the birth. I have never attended a funeral for a fallen soldier before. Needless to say, it was overwhelming and so unbelievably sad. But as a military family, we were so very honored and proud to be there to honor this young man who gave his life to serve our great country. I will never forget that day, and I will never forget this young soldier and his sacrifice for all of us. It made me remember how blessed we truly are and how proud I am to be an American!

So sorry you had to go through all of that. I am glad your husband is back. I know how hard those leaves can be when you have to keep it all together...trying at times. I hope your dad is doing better. I feel so bad for your friend...breaks my heart. I can only imagine being that I am married to a military man...so sorry. It does make us reflect and be grateful to be an American. Prayers and love sent your way. I do love the signs you have created...as always beautiful!

Hugs and love,
Victoria

I love your signs. The monogram in the birdcage is my favorite. I'm so glad you're getting to spend some time with your hubby and I hope your father is doing well. I'm sorry about your friend. That breaks my heart. My son is coming home from Basic Training and AIT next week. I would be lying if I didn't admit it scares me when I think about him maybe going overseas. Have a beautiful day.

I really really love the birdcage monogram.

What a difficult week! :( My brother-in-law is also in Iraq and should be coming home for a visit before his and my sister's baby is due. So scary to think about stuff like that. Thank God for our brave servicemen and women.

I have the cricut design studio, but I think I am going to have to buy SCAL! So sorry about the funeral, my husband will deploy this winter and I am not looking forward to it :( But I am so grateful for the sacrifice that he and all the other soldiers are willing to make for us.

Wow! I figured you were just busy being a wife instead of just mother, sister, daughter, crafter, business owner, blogger. . . .

Need to add "friend" to that list. I am so grateful that you are there to serve your friend who lost her husband. I can't even imagine her sadness; I am grateful you are there to support her.

Thank you for the reminder of how much we owe to our men and women in uniform!

I purchased Cricut Explore I set on vinyl setting and my small words half inch high won't stay in place I think the vinyl setting doesn't cut deep enough has anyone else know what setting on the explore I have to set.
