$1 Monogrammed Teacher Gifts

EDITED TO ADD.......Well, this is just what I get for posting after midnight. I completely left out all the details of this project, like how I did it and what materials we used. Those seem to be important to y'all so here goes.....and I apologize for my loserness! I used vinyl to cut out the dots and lettering. The font I used is called French Script, which I cut out using my cricut and the Sure Cuts Alot software. And for those of you concerned with how these will hold up...the vinyl is very sturdy. If you hand wash these, which you should with aluminum bottles anyway, they will be fine. I've used vinyl on mailboxes, license plates, etc and they have held up great.

My sister Emily found these adorable metal water bottles at the Dollar Tree last week. She came over after church today and we used the Cricut to personalize each one for her kids teachers. Are they not THE cutest things ever??? I am so jealous that she bought all they had.....I want one for myself!

You could make some with your school colors, like this one.

Or sass it up real good with this fun hot pink bottle complete with fancy monogram and bright colored dots.

They sell water bottles almost identical to these at a local boutique for $20 each. We made these for $1 a piece. You really can't beat that for a super cute personalized gift!

And for all the coffee and hot chocolate lovers....monogram a mug. What teacher wouldn't love to carry around her very own personalized mug at school everyday? I am really digging these fast, fun, extremely affordable gift ideas. And if you're like me and have yet to start on your end of the year teacher gifts....this is the way to go. Thanks, Emmie for sharing this fantabulous idea with us!

did you use vinyl on the waterbottles, or did you glue paper down? (just curious, it looks so cute!)

Those are great! I was just at Dollar Tree, too, and didn't notice them. The colors are wonderful and I love how you monogrammed and dotted them! Both the water bottles and the mugs make such great gifts; not just for teachers, but for office colleagues.

Won't the vinyl come off when they wash it? These are adorable, but I don't want it to fall apart after the first use.

I love this! I will have to see if my store has them...they would be great for the kiddos and for me, each with our own color and initials...no more fighting over who's bottle is who's...thanks for another great idea!

Get. out. of. town. I am not believing these. How adorable!

When Dollar Tree re-stocks, you should think about doing one of these for each kid. How about a water bottle that you'll always be able to identify??

Love ya!

I love it!!! What a great gift idea for just about anyone! Did you use vinyl? How waterproof are they? Are they washable? I think I need a tutorial or something so I can make some!

what cricut font did you use?

and for those asking about the vinyl. I have done several things with vinyl from Stampin Up (like license plates) etc and they hold on strong even through winter storms an blistering Atlanta heat and CAR WASHES, so hand-washing should pose no problem (which you should do with aluminum anyways). Hey girl!!! I have been following your blog 4ever! I finally started my own! I'm still learning though! So don't laugh! hehe!

I love those! Too cute! You should check the dollar tree's website out! You can order by the case on there if they have them in stock! Also, I found this blog last night with this cricut idea for teachers!
http://pittypatpaperie.blogspot.com/2010/05/personalized-umbrella-giveaway.html

She bought umbrellas from the Dollar tree and put a fleur de lis on them and a name with her cricut! Brilliant! Then she even made a cute box for the umbrella too!

I will guilt rambling now!
take care!

These are great! Very colorful and you are right... the vinyl holds up well. When I give something like this I add a little tag that says hand wash only.

I have lots of projects on my blog where I have used vinyl. Feel free to stop by sometimes and take a peek over at Pittypat Paperie.

These are a great idea...I have such a hard time coming up with a teacher gift that I myself would also like...not that I am a teacher, but I do like gifts!

This is an awesome idea, I think I will be doing this!
