I need your help!!!!!

This is a plea for help, my computer savvy friends. As you've so obviously noticed, my blog has been hijacked by the photobucket message. It says I've exceeded the bandwidth limit. Do I even have a photobucket account? Ummmmmmm ..... I don't think so.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

What to do? Any thoughts or ideas on how to handle this? Anyone ever had this happen to them? I'm sure it's a simple solution, but I am just not good a this kind of thing. It is a wonder that I can even keep up this blog...I amaze myself!

I had a great little post planned for tonight, but unfortunately I had to put it on hold. Ugh! As soon as I figure out how to fix my blog, I'll be back with it. Wish me luck...I might need it. And puh-lease....be patient with me and come back soon!

where did your background come from? where is everything being hosted?

You could use Blogger, or another
site, to host your background image, that may be where the bandwidth
is going.

I upload most of my photos
directly to blogger & leave my
Photobucket for animated gifs.

It might be a temp thing--
PB has brownouts sometimes.

I'm guessing your blog designer is hosting your back ground/buttons etc. and her bandwidth has been exceeded. Her blog too has the photo bucket exceeded image as do some of her other clients in her portfolio.

I would get the images from her and upload them to your own photo bucket acct. It's free until you exceed your limit but that takes a lot of photos/images to do that.

Or if you right click on your buttons even with the photo bucket warning you can get the url, copy and paste that into the address box and then save the image that comes up to your puter.

Here is the url for your back ground http://i432.photobucket.com/albums/qq44/joannabrittain/imperfectlybeautifulbackground.jpg

Or your designer can pay to get a bigger limit on her photo bucket acct. You should contact her too.

you can a) find a new template you like or b) or get a photobucket account and place a simple blue background image in there (save it on your computer then upload it to photobucket). I made everything on my blog myself. Here are some easy to follow directions. http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/blog-secrets/144-how-to-make-your-own-background.html

I wish I could help but I have no idea. It looks like you have a lot of help though. I hope you're up soon. I can't wait to see what you've been working on. Good luck!

Oh my goodness! I really have no idea. Can you take off your blog background in the customize area? I was tired of my background and just took it all off until my blog redesign is done. You could do that and then select a different background and maybe that would work.

Sorry I am not much help!

Looks like the place you got your backgound from is hosted on photo bucket. An exceeding bandwidth means lots of readers.

Amanda -- I just e-mailed a friend who might be able to help you. I am pretty sure this happened to me one time and someone walked me through it. What a pain in the a$$ though!

Ugh! Amanda, I'm so sorry this happened! You know I have no technical savvy at all, but it looks as if a couple of commenters have had some good ideas.

Don't worry, though--I'm sure you'll be able to get it fixed soon, and meanwhile we'll all be waiting for you. Don't worry about that. . . we wouldn't abandon you because of some little technical difficulty. No way!

Hope you're able to get an answer very soon! Love ya!

Hi Amanda,

So strange this looks fine using Firefox on my computer, but on Kim's with Internet Explorer it's a mess. I'm sure the top comment is right about the blog designers photobucket account. Should be easy for her to fix or you can host the images on your own account.

Be careful with Photobucket. An advertisement had a virus and even if you moved your cursor over the ad you could get the virus. Weird I know but I read somewhere that photobucket was aware of the problem and was trying to correct it. I noticed a picture on my blog that I had uploaded from photobucket had the same message, but haven't gone on the website because of the virus. I hope that all made sense :)

I don't know the answer but I'm pretty sure Rhoda at Southern Hospitality is having a similar problem. Maybe try asking her?
