Yard Sale Treasures

Today I'm linking up with Ms. Rhoda at Southern Hospitality to share my yard sale goodies. Yesterday was a very good day, and the sales were abundant! I hit a neighborhood sale first thing and went to about 12 or 13 in one stop...love that! In fact, there were so many I could have spent the entire day and still not gone to half of them. It rocked!

This was my first purchase of the day and my biggest ticket item at $30. It is almost brand new and the battery actually works and came with a charger. Now, I've priced these and they are $200 plus. The battery alone costs $50, so I think I got a pretty good deal.

Y'all know my affection for Yellow Box brand flip flops and sandals, right? This is my 6th pair. I only buy them when I can get them half off. But yard sale prices beat that by a mile! My best friend has this exact same pair and she paid $45 for them. I paid $3. They look almost new...very gently used. Nope,I'm not above wearing used shoes. Plus,do you see all that bling on the top?
So.Stinkin.Cute.

A tiered tray to match the one I got at the yucky thrift store...75 cents.

Ginormous shells...$1.

Gymboree outfit for the Fall (that top is corduroy...cute).

Smocked froggy ballerina capri set.

Could you just die? A pink tweed dress for my one of a kind 3 year old!

And a Straussburg dress (retails for 60-$70)...$2.50.
No, I did not purchase this adorable little girl from a yard sale, but sometimes wish I could sell her at one! (totally kidding, people). I cannot get a picture of her with out that stupid glare from her cuite patootie glasses. Oh well. Even though she looks like she has an eye patch, she's still precious!
What awesome finds did y'all score this weekend?

I have not been to a yard sale in about 10 years, but I am going to try to change that this year!

That tiered tray makes your trip to the yucky thrift store worth while...

Awesome finds. I adore the tiered tray. Your little one is a doll, eye patch and all. Maybe your camera flash is making the glasses light up in that way. I never use my flash because it gives me overexposed spots where I don't want them. ♥

You got some great deals! I love the little jeep! I bet your daughter loves it too! The little outfits are precious just like her!
I went to my neighbor's garage sale before I went to work Saturday morning. I only had about 10 minutes to look because we opened early that day. I got some great deals! I bought a lamp, some glassware, books, and old dishes. I will probably post about them soon. I don't get to go to many garage sales because of my work. It was fun!

Lee Laurie

Hey, Amanda, you scored some great things for your kids. And I love the shells AND the Yellow Box flops. Oh my, I'm a new Yellow Box lover myself. Great deal & no, I'm not above buying shoes from yardsales either. I found a pretty pair of Liz Claiborne flat slides with some bling on top a week ago for $1! Yes, maam!

Great stuff! You got an awesome deal on that car. I always wanted to get my daughter one when she was little but I was never going to pay what they were asking for them. Your kids are going to LOVE it!

Whew - I am feeling so much better that this day completely made up for the gross thrift stores. And you are too funny with your comment on my blog....you, a stalker? Never, you are my great blogging friend who if I saw ever IRL, it would be just like we saw each other yesterday. :)

Oh wow, I am so jealous of your Strasburg find and the other clothes as well. :) I haven't had luck like that in awhile on the clothing front for my 3 year old.

Awesome finds, I am sooo jealous. It has rained here for the last three weekends. Which means that not only have we had to cancel our garage sale, but there haven't been any to go to. :(

I love all the great finds, especially the clothes. But the best find was the car. Great job. Debbie

awesome finds!!!! and i want to sell my kids some moments too, who doesn't?
I wore glasses for YEARS, have her tilt her chin down, I remember photographers always telling me to tilt my chin down, so give it a try!

Great finds! Makes me think I need to take the time to go garage sale'in!!

Oooh, you done good!!! ;) You mentioned before that you're planning on spray painting the other tray. Do you have to use a special paint for that to be able to put food on it?? I'd like to find some of my own at some yard sales, but didn't know if I could paint and still use for food. :) I got a few good bargains this weekend, but it's so hard to look with the girls in tow. There's an AWESOME church one this weekend though...I am counting down the days. ;)

If I could convince my daughter to dress in pink smocked dresses, I would be thrilled! At 16, she is a wee bit old, but I miss those adorable clothes. The smocked froggy ballerina capri set is so sweet. Your bespectacled cutie will look so sweet in all of her new outfits.

Yards Sales are PERFECT for kids clothing!!! I used to have yard sales when my kids were little and I would sell clothing they NEVER got around to wearing with tags still on!

Great finds, it looks like you hit the jackpot! And that little girl you found, adorable! ;)

That's ok... sometimes I'd like to sell my kids too :)

Great deal on the little girl. My kids all wear/wore glasses...have her duck her chin JUST a little bit...takes that glare off...learned that from a photographer.

Amanda @ Serenity Now said...

Ooh, well duh. I guess a doily on the tray makes sense, huh? ;) I like the idea of using it for craft supplies if you're not serving with it! Can't wait to see how that turns out. :)

Wow! Way to go! I love those shoes!

I scored a king size comforter this weekend for $30.00 (at Wal-Mart, nonetheless)!

That abalone shell...gorgeous.

Cute clothes and even cuter little girl! So glad I'm not the only one who's not too good to wear used shoes. I go thrifting all the time and scored some gently used boots that retail for around $200 for $5! Love it!
