Change is HARD!

Hello, my name is Amanda and I'm a bad blogger! I apologize for being MIA the last week. Life has handed me some unexpected twists and turns and I am adjusting to them as best as I can. As I navigate this new chapter in my life and learn to balance it all, I hope that you all can be patient and not give up on me. I considered shutting down my blog, but I just could not do it. This blog is not only a creative outlet for me, it has become such a huge part of who I am. I've come to love that and I'm just not ready to give it up. Plus, I could not handle losing touch with all the dear friends I've made.....y'all mean the world to me!!! With that being said, there have been some other changes. Unfortunately, I've had to close down my etsy shop. Hopefully this will be temporary. I had to pick something to give up, to make my plate less full....and sadly this was the first to go {cue tears}. This sign will likely be my last custom order for a while. A friend of mine who lives out of town ordered this for her front porch. I think it turned out so cute and I wanted to give her a sneak peek. I hope you love it, Angie!

Hi AmANda~ I sure hope all is well!!! It sounds like you have had a possible hard time. However, glad you aren't giving up on the blog! Its great having the caring friendly blogging community. The woman sure seem to be great supporters. P.S. your blog is always going to be here so if life throws you a curve ball the blog can wait. Hope things work themselves out. Take care! Jenn

Oh, hon, I sympathize with you and wish I could give you a big hug! NO woman can do everything at the same time, and do it well. That is why my laundry isn't done. ;) ;) So glad you're keeping the blog...specially since you just got this fab redesign.

If you're super stressed, consider a shorter blogging schedule, like MWF or have a guest post when you need a little break. Don't stress yourself. Your regular readers love you (I do, anyways) and will always be around to read about your fab projects when you are feeling up to sharing. :)

Love and hugs!

I hear ya! I.get.it. I am a single mom of 3 and a grandma of 1. See, I totally get it. ;) We, women, can't do it ALL. I hope everything is okay. I'm glad you decided to keep the blog and no one is expecting you to post everyday. (((Hugs)))

I agree with Amanda - don't worry about how often you post! We'll all just enjoy anything you have time for. Heck, once a month if that's what you can manage! Life before blog.

I'm so sorry you're experiencing some struggles right now!!
Selfishly, I'm relieved you'll still be blogging - you inspire me - but I've also heard other bloggers *women* say it's helped keep them sane during difficult times. I wish you lighter challenges soon!!
Blessings!

I wanted to take a second to really encourage you in what you are going through. Due to major stuff in my life I recently took 6 weeks off from blogging and came back about 3 weeks ago refreshed and with a less stressful blogging schedule...it wasn't until after taking my "break" that I learned about getting guest bloggers to help you out. I think that is a great idea to help you when you need a rest...and so many wonderful ladies and friends of yours would be so happy to help you! I can see it from the comments...

Praying for you as you make decisions in your life and get things figured out...

I know that sometimes the expected changes can really mess us up sometimes, so you gotta do what you need to do to cope, Amanda! If your posts or blog visiting is limited or non-existent right now, so be it. Know that your blog friends are a 24/7 shoulder to lean on!

Hey girlie! I was wondering where you had been! So glad you are back and hoping all will be better soon! Life gets so hard sometimes but it also makes us who we are and usually makes us stronger! Hang in there! Love your blog. I check it daily.

Hey sister,

Sorry life is overwhelming right now - hang in there! I'm glad your keeping your blog, but remember a blog is like a telephone - it's there for your convenience, not the caller (or the reader). Hang in there. Remember to breathe... remember to find time to serve others and serve yourself... chocolate is cheaper than prozac... give thanks... allow others an opportunity to serve by asking for help when you really need it ... most important of all, never, ever, ever quit. You're worth it. Life is worth it.
