Alert...90% off at Target

While strolling through Target's toy section with my kids today, I spotted several women with their carts full of Christmas decor (and I mean stacked and overflowing). I was amazed that they had so much stuff left, so I thought I'd quickly check it out. When I got over there it was swarming with people piling stuff into their carts as fast as they could. And no wonder...everything was 90% off! I scored these three very large tubs of ornaments for next year. It's all different shades of gold, ivory, and champagne. Colors I am usually not drawn to at Christmas. But since my Mom scored those amazing chocolate brown mercury glass trees for 50 cents, I have been thinking of nothing else. Next year's mantle decor will be elegant neutrals with a splash of chartreuse green. I have a clear picture of it in my head... Is that sick that I'm already planning my Christmas decor and it's January 5th????

These were $1.50 each, $4 total for well over 100 ornaments...score!

The small bronze/chocolate ornaments were 75% off at a local department store. The mercury glass trees were 90% off a local salvage store that frequently gets Target stock. I am heading back tomorrow to get more of the chocolate trees. They are so stunning in real life!

My niece's colors for her wedding really inspired me to go more neutral and elegant for Christmas next year. I love the whimsical look, but I am seriously over it....for now. I'm sure I'll change my mind one day and go back to it. But if I can get a whole new look for 90% off, then I don't have to feel guilty for changing my mind so often...right?

Justifications are so hard to......well,justify. But that's my story and I'm stickin to it!

That's awesome! I found some ornaments at Target today for 90% off too! I got for boxes of ornaments, a bronze water globe, a tree ornament and 2 Carters baby outfits for $5.00! Score! Ours didn't really have that much left but enough to make me happy I decided to kill time in Target before heading to the airport! LOL!

I can't believe this...we are doing the same colors for next year (I think our mantels were near the same this year)...Christmas night I told my family... I knew that they would think that I was crazy but I already had the mantel all done in my head for Christmas 2010...neutrals/chartreuse green...using our vintage nativity that was my hubs when he was a child...I have been buying stuff up at 50-75% off...maybe I will go back to Target today to see if anything is left at 90% off...thanks soooo much for the update.

Blessings,
Linda

Yes, my friend, you are sick, but I love you anyway. :)
I think your mantle will be gorgeous as usual, I just have to wait patiently until December to see it. Hope everything's well there!

Wow, I bet our Target has nothing left as it was bare when I was in there a few days after Christmas but I'm definintely going to have to check! : )

My Target was bare!!! You couldn't find a tag for next year!!! I love those ornaments! I have so many that the kids were given and my beautiful interesting ones, but I would just like some pretty balls in those colors! I will try to get to another Target to see!

I heard that our Target had quite a bit on the shelves still, but that was a couple of days ago and things could have changed since then. Great score on those ornament packages. TJ Maxx had some I saw the other night but there was at least one ornament broken in each package.

Holy moley! What a deal!! I saw those ornament boxes back when they were 50% off and should have bought them back then. Stuff tends to go quickly at our Targets. Maybe I'll check it out. :)

What excellent deals you found. I've been out scouring the local stores and most things here have already been picked over. Darn my luck.

I'm so bummed. I trotted right over there after I saw your post and they had nothing left but some Christmas cards!
I caught this same sale last year and bought those same mercury glass trees (I love them!) but my amazing deal were 4.5 foot prelit tree for $5 and 3 ft prelits (I bought 3) for $2!
