Ummmmm...remember when I said my staple gun was broken? Yeah, apparently I am just really wimpy and wasn't putting enough muscle into it. I did get about 6 staples in, but that was it. Thus, my reason to think it was broken! When my hubby tried it, of course it worked perfectly. That is so how it works around here. I have all these lofty intentions of doing projects on my own, but something always goes wrong. And I end up having to ask for help. Oh well, it's not all bad. We actually enjoyed working on this one together (quite rare). Thanks babe, for lending me your many muscles!
LOVE, love, love this gorgeous fabric. Thank you again Richella!
Imperfectly beautiful, if I do say so myself!
So easy...especially when you have a handy hubby to help out!
In case you all forgot what the piano bench looked like before, here it is in all it's glory. It was in pitiful shape. It's amazing what a little bit of beautiful fabric and some staples can do.
I LOVE the results!

Oh my goodness! I love the fabric too! Great job.. even if you DID have to enlist the help of your hubby!
Yay it's so pretty! Love that fabric!
All the best,

It's absolutely gorgeous! Nice team work.
Yes, the same goes here too! My husband encourages me to do ALL my projects by myself, but it seems at some point during the project I need his muscles!! Great job on the finished product.
You go girl! I LOVE the new piano bench and of course the fabric is faboo! I bet your hubby enjoys helping you with those projects. Regardless, he does great work!!
Amanda, your bench turned out wonderfully, what with that gorgeous fabric!!! I think I need to buy one of those new-fangled staple guns that doesn't require so much "muscle." LOL I have felt your pain...

I love it! the fabric is beautiful, and it will be a great compliment to your mantel with those blue aqua colors! good job! P.S. I am the same way I have all these great craft DIY projects but somehow my hubby gets involved. He usually rolls his eyes and reluctantly helps! ;)
You've inspired me :)
I could just hug you.
IT's PERFECT! Yea for the extra muscles. :)
How absolutely beautiful! LOVE that fabric :) You did a great job!
Enjoy your weekend!

Amanda, it is awesome!!! I ask T for help all the time...he's my back-up. And b/c he's a perfectionist, he does a much better job than I do. ;) The fabric is gorgeous!
P.S. I found the black and white fabric at JoAnn's (can you say 50% off coupon?!).

It is gorgeous! I love that fabric.
I love the fabric you chose. I have a piano bench just like yours and it has white "denim" fabric I sewed to make it looks like a quilt. Also, I added a shelf underneath it. The wood is made of mahogany which is why it's hard to staple even with my electric one! I hope you don't mind if I copy your idea!
Where are you putting it?

Woo hoo!! I am so proud! That piano bench looks wonderful. I am so glad that you like the fabric and that you found such a great place to use it. Feels like a little piece of my heart is right there in your house.
Way to go, my friend!
Love,
Richella
I love it. I think you did a great job. (no one sees the underside anyway!)
Hello my bloggy friend! WooHoo!!! Party day is just a week away! I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone's creative spaces. I have a request... I thought it would be easier for everyone to leave comments if we all turned off comment moderation and word verification during the day (or maybe week) of the party. To do that, go to customize, settings, comments...then scroll down to turn off comment moderation and word verification.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a fabulous week. See you next Friday!!

The fabric is GORGEOUS! Great job! Now that I think about it, I think I once had a similar problem with a staple gun. hehe
So pretty!! I love it!:)
I love the results too! And it was well worth that LONG wait! ;)

I love that bench! Great job!! I, too, usually have big plans, then need the husband for a bailout!
so so so so cute! Love the fabric.
The bench looks gorgeous with that new fabric. I've been a weakling around here too lately. I guess I haven't been eating my Wheaties!
Oh my gosh your bench looks great. It is amazing what a staple gun can do..
I loooove that fabric, it's just gorgeous!
This looks great! Yes, those staple guns can be tough :)
LOVE it! I love love love that fabric!!! Awesome!
Thanks for the inspiration. I just decopaged a piano bench and I hate it. I am going to purchase some foam and fabric and hope it turns out as good as yours!
Cool. Thanks. I have at home a stapler that I've had for (gulp) over 35 years that probably wasn't even new then when dad gave it to me. NEVER had a problem. But all those Swingline staplers that I've had at school I think have a built in planned-obsolescence. load staple gun
