3 Days Down...9 To Go!

Seriously, the last three days have felt more like 3 weeks. We're working like mad women from morning till night. Yesterday as Emily and I were working we started joking about what it would be like to live together (her family of 7 and my family of 6), run a home business, cook dinner, make brownies for pack meeting, entertain and contain 9 kids, and home school in our spare time. I think we laughed until we peed. How ridiculous would that be? We got quite a kick out of it. In fact, I think we pretty much laughed hysterically ALL DAY LONG. Who cares about being tired when you can hang out with one of your best friends and have a great time together? I am so grateful for my sisters. I love them with all that I am, and I am so glad that they are my best friends. We are blessed to have each other. I'd be lost without them.

Ok, enough with my sentimental rant. Bring on the crafts!

These actually look so much better in real life. My pictures are a bit washed out. The colors and patterns are beautiful and rich!

This is my favorite so far. I love these papers together. So what do you think...should we leave them as is or embellish them? I like to embellish, but I have two nay-sayers that disagree. Give me your honest feedback here. I'm tough. I can take it.
Maybe.

  8. What would you embellish the letters with? How about if you antiqued them?

  9. I think that it would be pretty if you embellished the 'P' in 'Pray' with a small ceramic cross. Just an idea. I love all of your pretty papers you chose too. I hope that y'all sell everything! Where is it gonna be held at?

  10. First off, YOU GO GIRL! I love them all and they look so good! I am leaning towards leaving them the way they are. Some simple ribbon embellishments would be fine, but the thing is you have to appeal to the masses, and sometimes that is hard. I think the papers are so cool that they are enough color without embellishments. Enough rambling, whatever you do will be fabulous!

  11. (I am so excited for you!!)

    Bring on the glitter!!!!

A little embellishment goes a long way. They need just a lil' sumin' sumin'. ;-)

BTW, 'pray' is my favorite too. It looks great. And I have those Amy Butler papers as well. :) Love 'em!!

I do have a complaint, though. This really isn't fair, you showing me this FABULOUS stuff, and I'm too far away to come to your show and buy it all up! :)

  16. I love them all and think they look great plain. However, if you were to embellish, maybe just one or two of the letters? You have been working hard and it shows!

  18. Sooo pretty! Maybe embellish one letter as someone said before? Perhaps a ribbon of Charmin Ultra to really wow Octavius' mom. ;) ;) ;) (Told you it was versatile) They look awesome, and you can tell that a lot of work and attention to detail went into that. I'm impressed with how much ya'll got done!

  21. I'm all for simplicity and I think these look great. I wonder if I could somehow attach the "Pray" one to the twins when they are making me a bit crazy. It would be an excellent reminder. Would that be wrong?? :)

  25. I found when I did craft fairs that everyone has different taste, and different budgets. I'd embellish some and charge more, but leave some plain for people who either like them plain or want to save $ and add their own embellishments.

Oh, and I love the "Pray" one too!!

  26. do a little of both. i like the embellishments on one or two letters.

  28. I just found your blog tonight and I love it!!!! You have such great ideas. I have a question about your post Better Late Then Never...I love the lamp and have the same fabric in my daughters room. Was it hard to make and did you make it from an IKEA paper lamp? Thanks so much!!!!

  29. Girl, you are impressive!!! I find myself popping back over to peek at your handiwork again and again.

Embellishment, emschmellishment... I think they are PERFECT on their own. I love the "Family" one. Gorgeous! You could just stick with ribbon, which jazzes them up a bit but is completely optional to the customer. And that's my opinion...but you know what they say about opinions :).

    Rock on, sista!
