Do you like easy projects? If you answered yes to that question, then this post is for you! Really, there is no need for pictures or detailed instructions here. Just cut a piece of fabric to fit.....and frame it. Simple as that. And if you really want to kick it up a notch (a la Emeril), add a monogram. I found a nice bold font I liked on my computer, enlarged it to about 500, printed it, and cut it out.
Easy Peasy Mac N' Cheesy.
Why have I never thought of this before? I have a stack of fabric collecting dust and a boat load of frames lying around...WHY?
This is what I originally did with the photo tray I found on clearance at Target. I think I like it much better with the fabric. Oh, and by the way...my walls look peach in that first picture. Believe me...they are soooooo not! Just bad lighting...and a pitiful photographer. I need to go to camera school.
SERIOUSLY.
Love it with the fabric!
ReplyDeleteThat is great, and can't believe that is just a paper "S".
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much more.
blessings and thanks for sharing an easy project.

Much like bacon, toille makes everything better.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!
I love it! So cute. The black and white, the toile, the entire project is FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteXOXO

That's beautiful with the toile fabric!
ReplyDeleteI have lots of pretty fabric stashed away. We're in the process of repainting our kitchen, then will repaint the dining room and living room too. I already have plans for some of that fabric to find its way into embroidery hoops and be hung on the wall. But I like this idea too, especially adding the monogram. Fantastic!

Well that gives me some ideas! I like easy...Thanks! Janell
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Of course, with toille you can't go wrong!!! It reminds me of the embroidery hoops with fabric in them. Have you seen them? I believe Purl Bee started the trend. Someday I will make them, too.
ReplyDeleteLove the toile! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove that fabric! That's similar to what I want to do with those crotchet hooks I found. I like the monogram idea a lot!
ReplyDeleteCan I come with you to photography school? We can sit in the back and pass notes. ;)
LOVE it with the fabric...it looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI really need to play with fabric more. We just don't have much to pick from in this town.
I LOVE that frame! It could be empty, and it would be gorgeous! Of course, the nifty monogram really spruces it up. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI've had to stop making fabric pictures. I ran out of space, and people to give them to. :) But I just bought some really cool fabric and frames, so I might start again!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the toile! I am getting ready to gather supplies for a fabric project coming up soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your inspiration!
I love toile and this is a great way to incorporate a little into a room. Thanks for a great idea! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat way to start using my 'pile-o-fabric' that I just had to have!
ReplyDeleteCan I come with you to camera school?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea. We are all knocking ourselves in the head and thinking "Why? Why have we not done this before??"
Thanks for sharing your brilliance!
That looks great. I might try that some time!
ReplyDeleteI loved my photography classes. :)
Loving this and it just happens to be my initial too!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous are you!?! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI do that too!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I'm so glad I found your blog. www.satisfiedsole.com
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great project, and I love that fabric! I hope you and your family are having a wonderful 4th!!
ReplyDeleteHowever do you cut out those letters? I cut some very simple square letters and it the end product was very "imperfect". I love the beautiful fonts that you use in your projects but don't know how I would cut them out to look good. Do you use special scissors?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of paper did you use to print your letter? Did you use a cardstock? I have my fabric framed... and want to make the word FAMILY... and I'm stuck on what to make the letters out of!! HELP!
ReplyDeleteI sooo heart toile!! LOVE IT!! No, really love it!! My mother in-law just handed me down some curtains she had made in a khaki and white toile material for my dining room. When we build I plan on making long hanging curtains out of black and white toile!
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea with framing the fabric and monogram. I'm so going to try it.
Have a lovely day.
Blessings.

What a cool idea! When I first looked at the pic, I thought it was one of those wood letters. I love the fact that it was just printed from your computer! That's awesome!
