Do ya'll remember these cutsie melamine plates I got at Target for 75% off? Well, I told you I had grand plans for them, and it only took me 34 days to hang them. I originally wanted to hang them in these two groupings, but I changed my mind. I know...that is SO unlike me.
Aren't they the most precious plastic plates you ever did see?
I decided to put the aqua polka dots on the shelf above my computer desk. This room is a deep chocolate brown and desperately needs all the color it can get. And this just happens to be my accent color. What a coincidence!

The other 5 plates I decided to hang on that weird soffit thing in my girls' room. Please excuse the poor quality of this picture. My camera is on it's last leg. I like them here for now, but I'm sure I'll get sick of this arrangement and move them to a new home sooner or later. That's just how I roll. I am in constant tweaker mode. I rearrange stuff ALL.THE.TIME. It's kinda like getting new stuff without the expense. Except, really...getting new stuff is way more fun! But this girl's on a budget and this method will have to do.
I really wish I had purchased some of those plates.
ReplyDeleteLove those plates! Cute!
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Allison

ReplyDeleteI've always loved the colors and prints in these plates. Never bought any because, well, you know... they're PLASTIC! I really like how you've used them to brighten up your spaces. I might have to reconsider plastic now!
ReplyDeleteAlright, so now I'm really wishing I had bought a few of those!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Your girls' room is so adorable. I bet they just love their hot pink space!
ReplyDeleteYour plates look so pretty how you displayed them. The perfect 'pop' of color.

Supercute. Love the combo of the pink damask with the green with while polka dots. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteoh, totally cute!! I love the arrangement in the girls' room :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! You've given me so many great ideas, when I finally get around to actually DOING them, I'll post some pics. I do have one project that I'm working on...spray painting...something BIG. It's taking me longer than I wanted, but I think I'll finish it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you roll. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the aqua dot plate!
ReplyDeleteTHose look so cute in her room! Also, I love the blue one in the office. That cute little clock is great too. :)
ReplyDeleteThose look stinkin' cute! Great job!
ReplyDeleteWho would ever know they are plastic?? Love them! Oh, and p.s. on the door~when I painted mine, I used a small foam roller so there would be no streaks, took the hardware off, taped off the glass, and just did the front, not the edges, if that makes sense. Then I didn't have to take it off the hinges. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue with the chocolate brown.
ReplyDeleteI am a rearranger too. Like you said it feels like you get something new when all you are doing is moving it!
Very cute! :)

Too Cute! I love the polka dot plate on your shelf!

What gorgeous hits of color! Did you use plate hangers to hang them?
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it!!! I also like the little birdie in the picture with the aqua plate. I'd love to see what your desk area looks like. :) Cuteness!
ReplyDeleteThose ARE adorable. They are perfect in that room!!
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with your plates.
ReplyDeleteMatter of fact I bought two of the pink ones to do the same thing! And got them at 75% off. :>)
OOOHHH, now I'm wishin' I would've gotten one of those cute blue polka dot plates! Awesome job. Keep on rearranging, that's what I did today too!
ReplyDeleteOh girl I am so lovin those plates. They look great in your daughters room...
ReplyDeleteI like what you did with them, they are very pretty plates.
ReplyDeleteNicole
love 'em! thanks for giving us all the freedom to decorate with plastic. it's a beautiful thing.
ReplyDeleteI love it all! I am espescially loving the plastic!!! Can't ever go wrong with plastic.
ReplyDeleteI am also loving what you did on your door!
I would take if off it's hinges. I have painted a door on and off and it really is much easier off. It will make such a difference for so little money. You might be like me and think-why in the heck didn't I do this sooner?
Make sure you show us the finished product. PS-your clipboards are darling. I have about 5 all over and around-I love them.
One can never have enough, espescially when they are cutsified!!!
splurge on a a good camera, you won't regret it!
ReplyDeleteyou can get a deal on the new canon rebel slr at costco!
OH MY GOODNESS! That is awesome! I'm sure I've missed the boat on those @ The Target!. But, may swing by and see what there is that might be similar! Great idea for a sorta bare soffit in my kitchen. Love it.
