I also found some really cute stuff for my girls that I could not pass up. They seriously don't need anymore clothes, but these outfits were just too good to leave behind. The blue and white seersucker outfit with flip flops smocked across the bodice was 50 cents.
HELLO...can I get a witness?
AMEN!
I can hardly wait for this Saturday to roll around so I can find some more treasures. The thrill of the hunt is such a high. I am definitely addicted. Do they make a 12 step program for yard sale divas?
By the way, I changed the mantel AGAIN. The birdhouse just wasn't working for me there. I took everything off and started from scratch. I'll show you it's new home sometime this week. I have a confession...I have self diagnosed D.A.D.D (decorator attention deficit disorder). Apparently I need several 12 step programs in my life. It's really so sad.
I haven't been to a yardsale in about 10 years. I would probably go if I had kids, and wanted to find toys or clothes.
ReplyDeleteYou do know that you really scored with that wall pocket. It is from Southern Living at Home and was well let's just say way more than $3. I received one as a gift and painted it to put on my front door. I can't wait to see what you do with yours.
ReplyDeleteI will doing some yard saling this weekend. CAN'T WAIT! You definitely SCORED on those purchases. Way to go girlfriend.
ReplyDeletePreach it, sister! ;) Okay, I am getting a little freaked out b/c you could seriously be my carbon copy!! I am a total yard sale diva, and I DO need a 12 step program. ;)I got hooked after my first daughter was born and I saw how she'd wear that $28 outfit once before outgrowing it. We could start a rehab program and make lots of money to fuel our own yard sale addictions. It's not warm enough here in Virginia for yard sale season to pop yet...but I'm waiting. With the economy the way it is, the local children's consignment sale was HUGE this weekend. So I will satisfy my yard sale craving by drooling over your awesome finds!! ;)
ReplyDeleteyes, I will be your witness - AMEN! Can you believe I woke up and didn't go. It was a serious come to Jesus morning. I had made a commitment that I wouldn't go yard saling until I had found a place for all my other treasures that I bought. I woke up early and there they were glaring at me....screaming - "you hypocrite - you made a vow." Since I told my kids a few weeks ago this vow, I was totally convicted - "better to not make a vow then to make one and not keep it" - yes, something I quote to my kids regularly. Ok, that is my confession and I'm sticking to it. I bettter get organizing so I can join you in spirit next week.
ReplyDeleteNice finds! You need to start the 12 step program over here! I started a yard sale 101 on my blog today so they can become addicted at my place and then come over here for therapy. :)
ReplyDeleteD.A.D.D., so that is what it is? I have it too! We should form a support group! =) Yeah, on your yard sale finds. I am still waiting for them to start having them in the midwest. I stopped at one I seen the other day and the going rate for items was $50!!! And these were people in their 70's having the garage sale. I purposely drove by it for several days and noticed they never sold a thing! With those prices they have to be out of their gord!!!
ReplyDeleteGood deals, girl! I didn't make it to garage sales this weekend but am looking forward to next weekend!
ReplyDeleteLike Kristina, I haven't been to a yard sale in about 10 years either! I think with the ecomony the way it is, it's time to get out there and explore again. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeletegreat finds! i've got to start looking in my corner of ms too! people in our town really get into yard sells. especially this time of year.
ReplyDeleteWow, girl, you scored some great stuff! I LOVE that little pedestal bowl.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with your mantle.
Love all you stuff!
ReplyDeletewhat wonderful finds!
ReplyDeletegood finds! what a steal for those shelves.
ReplyDeleteHI thanks for the great comment that you left on my blog today!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the little suitcase.....so sweet.
have a great day.

I love your finds. Wish it was spring here, actually snowed last Sunday. Good luck with your mantle!
ReplyDeletescore! if your addiction isn't harming others or causing you to neglect your family (too much) than i say skip the 12 step program. plus, you ARE in rehab...just a rehab that involves spray paint and yard sales:)
ReplyDeleteYou got some great finds!! Those dresses are adorable!! I can't wait to see your mantel and the birdcage's new home.
ReplyDeleteYep - yard sales are great! I had my own on Saturday and made $250. And that was just selling small junky things that were cluttering my house and a lot of old clothes that don't fit/aren't in style anymore. I didn't sell anything for more than $5 and still made $250! I'm not sure which I'm more excited about - that I got rid of a ton of junk or that I made some $$$!
ReplyDeleteI love your finds - ca-ute dresses!!!
My sis-n-law and I were just talking yesterday about how excited we are for yard sale season. We have to wait until around May as we are still snowbound here. We got six inches the other day! Your post today got me super excited for the yard sale season though!!
ReplyDeleteI love in Stupid-I mean beautiful Utah where it still snows in march and april and sometimes may. They warn us not to put anything in the ground before mothers day. If you do-it will die-guaranteed. Just becuase you did it!
ReplyDeleteSo I am sooooooo Jealous that you are yard salen! Dont' worry, you are not alone in the passion. Who can pass up a 5o cent searsucker dress! I probably would have bought it just cause it was cute even though my youngest is almost 5. We are in this together my friend!!!
Awesome finds!!!! My boyfriend would probably lump me in with your diagnosis...Yay for D.A.D.D! LOL (you're so funny)
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Allison

Great items! I don't go to Yard Sales much...I should!
ReplyDeleteI love all your bargains. The vintage case is so cute. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Little girls can never have enough clothes..and with that deal, you could not pass it up.
ReplyDeleteWow - what wonderful finds! I love it all - especially that little footed bowl. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could start going to some yard sales, but we still have like 6 inches of snow on the ground and it's supposed to snow again tomorrow...
Someday!
XOXO
Jen
I think the metal thingy is Southern Living and is usually around $35!! If it's not that, it sure looks like it, so SCORE!! I am not a huge garage sale person but when I find a good one I'm in heaven. I'm looking forward to them starting this year!
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well Amanda! I love all the cute stuff you post about.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to check up on you - the bad weather that came thru here headed your direction and then I saw footage of the tornado and just thought I would make sure you are ok.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog.
A smocked dress for .50! Amen.
