I sort of figured that I had glued it all together by using the spray glue. Any opinions about that? I wonder if the rub on glue has less transfer to the machine? I'm not sure that my thoughts are correct, but it makes sense to me. Our daughter got me a new machine for Christmas, so I may take it apart and see what's going on. Anyway, I'd appreciate comments. I love the other tricks and will think about the glue stick.<br />Gerihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15450723320864526720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5288378010551182384.post-22676522749830759332017-12-27T06:49:47.336-06:002017-12-27T06:49:47.336-06:00I use spray adhesive. I buy it on Amazon (have found Blubonic to be the best, but you can get other brands cheaper). Just put a little on a paper towel, wipe over the mat and let it sit for a minute, then scrape the glue with a credit card or scraper. Make another swipe with the paper towel to remove any residual and voila...no glue. D-limonene is the active ingredient in goo gone, but full strength is cheaper and much more effective.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08795055260215939305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5288378010551182384.post-45288825156290756332015-02-12T13:41:00.728-06:002015-02-12T13:41:00.728-06:00is this six glue very different from a regular glu...is this six glue very different from a regular glue stick? The cutting mats do lose their stickiness fairly quickly. I used the zig 2 way pen after thoroughly cleaning the mat of all the lint. It's not sticky enough to cut paper let alone stencils. So now I went and bought 3M spray mount repositionable adhesive. I don't know if I should spray, let it dry and use but then if I cover it with the blue sheet, will it get stuck for ever? Another comment is Joann's won't let you use their coupons on mats/blades. It says not applicable silhouette/cricut accessories :( rkramadhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10450776215113560220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5288378010551182384.post-69454347794347914722014-12-12T09:53:59.779-06:002014-12-12T09:53:59.779-06:00I will try this on my silhouette mat. In fact, this is my first ever die cutting machine of any sort, I wasn't willing to shell out for cartridges, and then came Silhouette. Free design every week plus lots of 50% off designs each week. Just for the last 2 weeks, the entire site was 50% off for every single design you can imagine (we are talking thousands and thousands). I can design anything and print or cut or color the designs I bought plus I can make stencils and stamps and rhinestone stuff .....on and on and on...truly endless possibilities! PS: I am not in anyway whatsoever associated with silhouette, I am just a happy customer :)rkramadhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10450776215113560220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5288378010551182384.post-80345611913837357162014-06-13T06:26:57.501-05:002014-06-13T06:26:57.501-05:00I found using double sided tape works awesome as w...I found using double sided tape works awesome as wellAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18152898123394349945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5288378010551182384.post-54943907502687034502014-06-06T00:38:50.107-05:002014-06-06T00:38:50.107-05:00Hello, I have had my cricut expression for several...Hello, I have had my cricut expression for several years now. With my scrapbooking style I am always designing layouts and cards with my many a cricut cartridges, I am very fortunite to have the image cuts from around 40 cartridges. The zig glue pen does work awesome on my mats, I only renew the original sticky side each time; and I being one to save money where can, I too reuse my mats, I have found I get to use mats time and time again by resticking it with the ZIG BABY BIGGY TIP glue pen, I did after continues months of use though, threw a mat away as the mat became brittle and cracked with age and use. Happy crafting. Listia is a 'free' auction site. Get rid of what you don't want and 'buy' what you do with the credits you earn from selling. It's my new addiction. Thanks for the new glue tip.
